JOHN "JACK" H. WYANT
Managing Director

Jack Wyant co-founded Blue Chip in 1992 and was responsible for several of Blue Chip?s most successful investments, including Richwood Pharmaceutical and USinternetworking. He now focuses primarily on Media & Marketing companies and currently works with Blue Chip IV companies ShareThis and XOS Technologies. Jack has been recognized for leadership in the venture capital industry by a number of organizations, and is a frequent lecturer on venture capital investing and entrepreneurship.

Prior to founding Blue Chip, Jack spent 16 years in entrepreneurial settings serving as founder and CEO of two venture-backed start-up companies in the Media & Marketing and Healthcare industries. Home Entertainment Network built and operated TV stations and originated and syndicated live sports events, and Nutrition Technology Corporation developed and marketed nutrition products to hospitals and nursing homes. Both resulted in strategic acquisitions by larger firms. Jack started his career in brand management with Procter & Gamble and later held marketing and general management positions with Taft Broadcasting Company, where he developed and launched new entertainment business units.

EDUCATION
Jack received a Bachelor of Arts degree from Denison University in 1968, a Juris Doctor degree from Salmon P. Chase College of Law in 1977, recognition for "Excellence in Entrepreneurship" from Denison in 1988 and recognition for "Professional Achievement" from Chase in 1997.
